MY PROMISE TO YOU Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work, a lot of work. Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s own effort. If you honor me by permitting me to inspect your new home, I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort, This I promise you.
MAJDI GHAZAL Home Inspector (514-INSPECT) The Inspection Home
Buying a home? The process can be stressful. A home inspection is supposed to give you peace of mind, and thats why we developed a mandate questionnaire that will help you identify your expectations from the inspection. Your inspection will include maintenance recommendations, life expectancies and minor imperfections that are nice to know about along with issues that really matter . However, the issues that really matter will fall into four categories:
- Major defects. An example of this would be a structural failure.
- Things that lead to major defects. A small roof-flashing leak, for example.
- Things that may hinder your ability to finance, legally occupy or insure the home.
- Safety hazards, such as an exposed, live buss bar at the electric panel.
Anything in these categories should be addressed. Often a serious problem can be corrected inexpensively to protect both life and property (especially in categories 2 and 4).
In most cases sellers are honest and are often surprised to learn of defects uncovered during an inspection.
